Make a Gift of Hope for a Healthy Future for All

Why a Gift in Your Will or Living Trust, or Other Estate Plan Matters

A gift in your will or other estate plan is a celebration of how we are all connected, person to person, family to family and generation to generation. Cancer and other serious illnesses have touched, or will touch, each of us. Your gift will help fund:

  • The work of dedicated researchers who each day search urgently for new treatments and cures for cancer, diabetes and other serious illnesses — and deploy them as quickly as possible
  • Compassionate supportive care services that embrace every patient and caregiver, because no one should face serious illness alone
  • Increased access to the best care for more people
  • A future where we no longer fear cancer or other serious illnesses

With your help, City of Hope will be there until the day a cure is found.

Hannah Komai, R.N.
“I am a cancer survivor who was treated at City of Hope. I built relationships with patients, nurses, doctors and supportive care team members, who gave me the strength to continue to fight. Now I fight for my own patients.”
— Hannah Komai, R.N., City of Hope nurse and bone cancer survivor

A Gift in Your Will Helps Nurses Like Hannah Give Back

Diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer, at age 20, Hannah faced a painful fight that no young person should have to face. Hannah is now cancer free and a nurse at City of Hope, and she recently became a mother herself, helping other pediatric cancer patients and their families with not only her nursing skills, but also with her compassion and understanding arising from her own experiences. She says, “Becoming a nurse not only gave purpose to my experience, but it also gives me the chance to touch the lives of other people. I love telling patients, ’I’ve been in the very room you are in, and I get it.’ City of Hope has given me so much, and I’m so thankful.”
